Your quote is based on what we can see during our visit.

Sometimes surprises appear once work begins (e.g. hidden roots, buried materials, old concrete, or safety issues). If this happens, we will always speak with you first before carrying out any additional work or charges.

We aim to keep to all agreed dates, but weather and safety can occasionally impact our schedule.

If we need to adjust your booking, we will update you as soon as possible. We cannot be responsible for delays caused by factors outside our control, but we will always work with you to find the earliest available date.

To help the job run smoothly:

• Please ensure we have clear access to the work area.
• Let us know about any underground cables, pipes, drains, or anything hidden that we may need to avoid.
• For safety, please keep pets and family members away from the work area while we are working.

Some trees require council permission (TPOs or conservation areas). We are happy to help with this. There is a set fee of £250 for a works planning application to the local authority to obtain permission.

If permission has not been granted by your planned start date, we may need to reschedule.

All tree work is carried out to recognised industry standards (BS3998:2010) wherever possible.

Trees are natural living things, so we cannot guarantee how they will react, grow, or regrow after pruning. Some minor ground disturbance can happen due to equipment, which is normal with this type of work.

Here is what to expect:

• Ground conditions can vary. If we discover anything unexpected (old foundations, roots, rubble, hidden concrete, etc.), we will discuss the best solution and any cost differences with you first.
• Fencing and timber products naturally weather over time; this is normal.
• Turf needs watering and aftercare once laid. We cannot be responsible if it fails due to lack of watering or extreme weather.

Waste removal is included only if mentioned in your quote.

If more waste appears than was visible during the initial visit, there may be a small additional disposal fee. We will always let you know beforehand.

• For work over £1,000, we require a 50% deposit to secure your booking.
• The remaining balance is due on the day the work is completed.
• All materials remain the property of DC Tree Care until full payment has been made.

• If you need to move or cancel your booking, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice.
• Last-minute cancellations may incur a small fee to cover lost labour time.
• If we need to postpone due to weather or safety concerns, there is no charge.

We take great care with every job, but we cannot be responsible for:

• Damage to old or already-weak structures (fences, walls, patios, sheds)
• Damage to underground services we were not told about
• Storm or wind damage after fencing or tree work
• Natural regrowth or changes in the future
• Delays caused by weather or circumstances outside our control

Our main priority is always safety, quality, and doing the right thing for both you and your garden.
